Hurricane Sandy

On October, 22, 2012 the largest Atlantic hurricane on record developed on the coast of the Caribbean Sea. It was developed from a tropical wave and affected the Bahamas, eastern Canada and especially the Mid-Atlantic States. New York and New Jersey were hit very heavily causing a lot of damage. This caused a damage over $55.23 million (USA in USD), leaving thousands homeless, flooded and with power cut in and around the city. This hurricane affected millions of lives leaving them helpless. In Haiti there are 21 people missing which is the most from all the places that were struck with this devastating cyclone. Overall, 185 people have been confirmed being killed. Jamaica has reported to have been hit with a hurricane for the first time in 24 years. Sandy has caused a lot of destruction being caused from global warming and causing so much destruction that the aftermath is still being calculated over. There are still many residents that have not been helped and are living without food or water. Some areas are completely demolished and action is being taken to try and get to the affected areas and rebuilding has started to happen in some regions.
